Portfolio of Works
Event Comemoration
The work is more of a caricature than portrait because I often have to work from small low res photos that captured an event. The subjects are painted into a publication that is related to the subjects. In this work the context is a chain store anchor Beauty Conference that happened early in 2019. The cover the subjects appear on is CSA (Chain Store Age) and the text on the cover will often sport an inside joke or "occurrence". There is a broad perimeter border that is where each participant will sign the painting. Once signed the signatures and painting are sealed and the guest of honor gets the original. Each participant is also gifted a slightly smaller canvas print that is suitable for framing and display in home or office. Framing is not included. Commemorating an occasion in this manner starts at $1,500 ( 3 biological entities) and will increase as more people are added. The better the photos provided for the work the more the work will move toward portrait and away from caricature. The format is usually 22" x 28" with canvas prints being 16" x 20". Acryllic.
