Hippodrome AM.

The Cutting Horse contenders rise early under a shroud of fog to get ready for the Futurity events. The visibility is a football field or less and the breath of horse and rider billow together in the cold morning air. A cup of hot coffee and a blanket are welcome on mornings such as these. The cold wet turf try to avoid every step of horse and rider but all in all, this is what it is all about, horse, rider, and the elements.
